Storm Isha has brought chaos to Britain

Storm Isha has brought powerful winds to the UK. In some regions in the north of Scotland the speed of gusts reached 45 metres per second. About 8,000 residential buildings were deprived of electricity, and repair teams are far from being able to reach emergency locations everywhere.

Citizens of the affected areas are promised that electricity supply will be restored by Tuesday evening, 23 January (approximately 20:00 Moscow time).

The storm also disrupted the work of railway transport, as the fallen trees blocked the tracks.
