Can dogs survive without humanity?

Dogs that are too large or too small will be at a disadvantage because of their dependence on body size, thermoregulation and vulnerability to predators.

In general, however, over time, breed separation will disappear, and unrestrained crossbreeding will lead to uniformity of appearance: they will all look like today’s mongrels.
